Why I Want to Live in World of Warcraft

So many reasons.

–My first impression, all those years ago when my kids first introduced me to the original, is that I feel as though I’m in a real, 3-D world. The sensation of movement as my character roams through the varying environment, and the unfolding of each environment, makes me feel that I’ve been there. I can even reconstruct a map in my head of various places I’ve quested in. I frankly feel that it’s the best sword and sorcery video game out there, though they have many competitors now.

–I love how beautiful the starting point for humans is, in Elwynn Forest. It’s lush, medieval (but cleaner) vibe is so pleasant. And in two locations, I get to see dinosaurs.

–I wouldn’t want it to be too realistic. A little cartoonish is fine with me. If we get too realistic, then it doesn’t feel like I’m playing anymore, at least, to me.

–And hey, I could look just about the way I want, forever. No working out or dieting. And I can try out different different looks, personalities, and what they call races–elves, dwarves, humans, etc., with a few flicks.

–Through a great guild, I met some wonderful people to hang out with for hours at a time. Fighting groups of enemies can be quite cathartic, too.

With the return of World of Warcraft Classic, and the latest release, Dragonflight, I’m back to playing it again, and sometimes enjoying it even more. I’d like to sit in one of the pubs and share stories with friends. Perhaps I’ll see you there.
